About Me

For more than a decade I’ve worked in the University of Texas campus-area housing market, helping students, parents, and property owners navigate one of the most unique rental environments in Austin. Over the years I’ve had a front-row seat to the rhythms of the student housing cycle — from early pre-leasing trends and shifting market timelines to the subtle dynamics that influence how and when properties lease.

With a background in home staging and interior design, I’ve always been drawn to the details that shape how a property is experienced. Those details — how a home presents, how it’s positioned in the market, and how potential renters respond to it — often make a meaningful difference in leasing outcomes.

I created this site to give a voice to the many experiences I’ve had working in the UT campus-area leasing market — and man, do I have some stories to tell! My intention is for this to be a space where I share observations about the UT Austin housing market based on years of working directly within it. My goal is to offer practical perspective for students beginning their housing search, for parents trying to understand how the process works, and for investors who want a clearer picture of the intricacies and special nuances of this very specific niche market.

Outside of my professional work, I’m a mother of two daughters. My youngest recently graduated as a Photography major from Texas State (moms of college students — I can definitely relate to what you’re going through!), and my oldest is getting married this May. My girls are my world, and parenting them has been both the honor and the highlight of my life.

I believe in living with curiosity and purpose, showing up with generosity in my relationships, and embracing opportunities to explore the world. I love travel — both discovering new places and returning to the ones that continue to inspire me. I’m a Texas native born and raised in South Texas, a dog lover with three of my own (and the occasional foster), and someone who genuinely enjoys sharing the experiences and knowledge I’ve gathered along the way in the hope that it helps others navigate their world with a little more ease and confidence.
